Wow! realised I've been MIAing for quite some time haha...sry guys... been real busy with work n stuff... somehow this sem passed so quickly...sigh..its really quite scary tt next yr we'll be stepin into the workin work soon... okok lets not tink abt tt yet.. heh some pics to show u all bout wats goin on!!

OPs, it's been a longgg loonggg time since I blogged haha...been too bogged down w work..argh, staring at the screen for near 10 hr a day is really tiring, even tho u might not be tt busy.Hmmm... money's hard to earn:(

Well well, the dive trip to Dayang was a nice break. Tho Pulau Aur is quite "lok kok"... no warm water to bath with *sobz*, its a really calm, scenic and uncommercialized dive resort. Great place to forget all the hustle & bustle of city life...Haha the dives were cool, especially the dive at Reyner's Rock! We got to see a Green turtle, Nemo, Dory, Schools of Barracudas,Cushionstar, sea slugs & lots of corals! Ops..tink i kick and injured afew...Haha as wat my instructor describe: most of us are bobbing up and down like sea cucumbers haha..cant help it for beginners not too gd at controlling buoyancy. Haha u can imagine how hard it is to take a picture with the 5 of us all over the place!

But its a really strange and serence feeling underwater, which after awhile u learn to enjoy. Everthing becomes v quiet & in 3 dimension...u have to TRY to look left, right, up & down to avoid kicking others or vice versa. Everyone ard u is moving in slow motion...and for once u enter the world of the marinelife, get excited over being able to observe them at that close proximity and fuss over the little creatures. The funny thing is tt I feel ridiculous not to be able to out-swim the turtle:P The most impt thing tt came into my mind was juz : Grap hold of my regulator in case I cant get any air! Hmm...I have to equalize my ears v slowly, it juz feels uncomfortable and weird...guess I have to go for more leisure dives to get used to the pressure. Ok, now I gota start saving up!

Strongly recommended: Eight Below!!! Superb movie!!! haha starring 8 huskies, it's a really touching show about the bond btwn the 8 Huskies and some scientific expedition members. I was really touched by how disciplined the dogs were, they never left any injured member behind and they were like buddies looking after each other in the harsh weather conditions. The way they handed over the catch to their leader to be distributed and shared also amazed me...well, I guess we've seen to many examples of the selfish nature of man kind, it makes u appreciate the the loyalty u see in these lil animals...

heehee seeing doggy shows like this makes me wana spend more time w my lil Chihuahua... but well, he's nothing compared to those well-trained huskies...in fact i tink he's juz e opposite haha!He's such a rascal I really dunu wat to do w him, yet he's sooo cute haha...he's so pampered i dun tink he can even survive a day on his own :p

Oh man...exam periods r always torturous...the only consolation i get after camping at the library is the gd food back home and Da4 Chang2 Jin1 at 10pm!!! how deprived can tt get? Crazily scheduled weekend. Gota rush back to classes st after arriving at Changi Airport, lucky for me HS was in hall to help me keep me stuff :) Basically we tried to cover Hoi An and Hoi city in 3 days..pretty rush, alot of historical monuments like the Cham Museum, Myson, Imperial palace,& Cruise down perfum River...Danang reminds me of how simple life can be, yet if u were to throw me there to life for a few years, I prob wun survive. The pace of life is slow there, pl friendly, not much shopping, but I enjoyed the sights, the sound, and of coz e food haha there goes my dietin plans...yea bye bye chiongsum...

Wow! I juz attended 2 21st bdae parties this week, & 2 more to go next week! I'm gona be broke! haha suddenly it dawned upon me that I'll have ALOT of bdae parties to attend this yr...but somehow I'm not too excited to turn 21?? Haha I dun really like the big parties I guess...so far my bdaes r always separate gathering with different close cliques. Ohno I tink squeezin ALL different cliques of frenz, family, relatives & entertaining them & settling them down will be a traumatizing ezperience haha! I dun even noe if the "key to freedom" is official??? hm...y muz 21st bdae b such a big thing *ponder*

Oh 2dae I juz met up with 2 greatest pl..heehee they're juz so sweet & totful, was really touched when they remembered my bdae even tho I was so far away last sem :) well Fish I've known her since Pri3..tt's like 12 yr aldy...Ron I've known her since sec1..so tt's 8 yr...wow..how these gals have grown..& they'll always be beautiful in my eyes:P

Heh it was really nice meetin up w family n frenz back in sgp. Guess I cant have both worlds..it's happenin n interestin overseas, but it lacks the kind of warmth i get from the familiar faces back here. Hh says it'l be selfish tt i wana move all my frenz n family overseas with me haha..well tt'l never happen coz it's an ideal situation :)

heard this phrase durin one of the trailers for an upcoming movie abt 8 huskies, I'm so gona watch it!!! Haha guess its v true, many a times we juz let things pass by us, hoping that time will make us forget everything...& that wats once impt might not be anymore in future. But unfortunately things r not tt simple, once the chance slips away, wats left may be juz regrets...so to every1 out there, dun be afraid to try! haha life's all abt learnin n tryin...like wat we learn at obs " A ship's safe in harbour, but that's not what a ship's build for".

Yo finally! After watchin everyone leave for home to celebrate xmas...I was abit doubtful abt stayin for xmas afteral..haha esp when there isnt much of a festive mood, not even decorations for xmas at NYC!!! All the publicity u see on movies...haha its all part of the ploy to stimulate economy to get u into the mood to shop! Owell, but I'm of those tt falls for it haha...have been walkin ard NYC, doin last min shoppin..OPss hope I din miss anyone out haha. If I really do, I din do it on purpose haha, its so crowded shoppin on Boxin day I was juz shoved ard by the sea of shoppers! haha n its such a headache tinkin of wat to get for so many pl...argh... heez but shoppin at Victoria Secret's was really cool haha, i juz love the cute pjs, but too bad they're long sleeve n if i wear them in sgp i'd juz get a heat stroke haha. we spent like 2hrs juz at VS alone...hmm..but prob half of it was in the line to the casher haha.

Heh I'm writin real fast tryin to get all my random tots down coz I'd b rushin off real soon. Hope to catch Willy b4 I fly off. It's really gd meetin ole frenz in foreign land haha..I dunu y but i'ts juz the case :)

So the whole of today is Admin day, closin my acc at City Bank n Time Warner..have i mention tt i HATE Time Warner? haha... yea...den the whole day was juz me, my ipod n my camera...it's gd to find time to be myself, tryin to take as many shots of places in NYC, places tt'll remind me of the various memories I had here..ok tink i'm gettin abit emotional here haha. It's one of those mixed feelin days when U look forward to goin home, yet bu4 she3 de2 wat u've aldy gotten used to here. Leaving the hustle and bustle of New York City, I left for Connecticut with Xinyi yest...and we experienced a whole new different kind of campus life. People at Wesleyan are so friendly..the warm, cozy and open environment reminds me of the HC family-like community not too long ago in JC..and in the peaceful place called Middle Town, wat more can I ask for den the good company of an old friend??? Heez I havent seen Corinne in abt 2 yrs i tink..never had I ever dreamt tt I'll meet her in US haha..but it feels so gd meetin her here, I'm so glad I came...everything juz fits into the picture n she kinda completed my whole US experience? haha she's like the familiarity in this foreign land..& she provided alot of comfort this period of time where alot of people are leaving. I hate leaving scenes haha..juz cant help feelin sad tt everything has to end tho i know it's a fact in life. I might get used to it, like wat pl say "Be glad it happened". It's a mazing how different pl enter and exit ur life...and I'm thankful for those who have made a difference :)

A real heartfelt thanks to those that made my bdae at NYC a real memorable one..be it frenz sendin their best wishes from sgp, those tt i hung ard with ard e big day, n those tt turned up for the dinner! hao2 gan3 dong4! heez it was great and I was pleasantly surprised to see so many pl at the dinner tt day...n the family style at Grand sichuan was awesome! We had xiao long bao, si ji dou, smoked tea duck, beef tendens, spicy chicken, fish...haha n I got presents, the cake...ooohh esp the cake it was made by my dearest roomie, did i mention tt she's e angel tt arranged the dinner, so cute :) Ok enough of tokin, now for some pics!

Looks like i juz had the most enjoyable ski trip in my life so far. Imagine the snow capped hills, flaky white pine trees and the Eng style lodges...heehee juz like those postcard pics..juz tt now I'm part of it...Fell quite alot but it was worth it.Whats impt is pickin urself up after each fall yea. Haha but i guess the guys fell real bad, they were aching all over and groaning like old men it was hilarious! haha feels good having a few days off to connect with nature once more. Feels even better when u can control ur skis and enjoy the magnificent scenery ard u..& wat more, the pl there were so friendly & helpful I give a 10 for customer service haha. It was such a beautiful and romantic place I kinda couldnt bear to leave. Well, all good things come to an end, but fortunately there're snapshots of the happy memories :)

Heez, spend Roomie's bdae eve skatin at Central Park, My first experience skating at an outdoor skating ring! Heehee i really enjoyed myself, despite all the bruises I got from falling haha. i'm now determined to concur ice-skating! haha Feel so bad towards my ice skating "coach" Ms Sharon dear...haha I apparently havent been improving since sec sch. Well, tink i'm abit rusty after not skating for so long...Haha but I really like skating...the feeling is ssooo good haha. Compared to Roller Blading, this seems more classy and romantic haha. mostly coz i prefer the cool weather & ice so I dun sweat at all, unlike roller bladin in ecp on a real warm n humid day...makes u feel like u wana eat a whole tub of ice cream :)

This is sooo frustrating... the bulb in the toilet fused today and no one took the initiative to get a new one- Juz like wat happened the last time. So once again I came home after a long day at5+pm and realised that the bathroom has no light. well, surprise surprise...& the other 3 ended lesson at 3+??? I mean, doesnt common sense tell u that when the bulb fused its juz time to get one? The point is, it isnt tt diff juz to walk to the electrical shop ard the corner to get a new bulb. I really do not know if these pl r juz lazy, or they dun care abt this house at all? But since we'll be stayin here for a few mths might as well make the best outa it rite? Gosh, i shld stop whining & complaining, I really wana make this stay as pleasant as possible, but I cant do it w/o the help of the others. I'm juz so tired, esp after 4 lessons today, & i juz dunu wat to say at this pt.

Feeling down the past week, felt as if I left alot of stuff back in Sgp : My frenz, my family, my dog, evrything that I enjoy doing during my free time, & my Starhub FREE Incoming line!!! Haha its juz so difficult to talk to someone here, esp when the apt reception sucks. Well, on the other hand, I really like it here. Someone once asked me if I prefer NY or Sgp, I told her i'd be fine here if my family was here haha. Well its ironic i feel, all the stuff i learn in Globalization affecting states, yet to me home is juz a place where ur family is & e place u noe u can fall back on anytime and be safe.

Fortunate that i visited the Brooklyn Bridge, it was quiet & beautiful, & I enjoyed the serenity of the nite walk & small chats haha. Didnt take many pics tho, coz my stupid ixus camera cmi in takin nite pics. Felt that I'd rather spend the time enjoyin e scenery n atmosphere. so all the pretty pics of the bridge, waters & skyscrapers i stole off my fren's website haha. This place is Not that kind of breathtaking tourist attractions, but i got a gd "tour guide" haha & i got to see the Lafayette dorm, the prison near it(sounds dangerous) and court of justice ( haha even gota know why e name changed over the yrs).

Wow Halloween was awesome! Heh it's my first time celebrating Halloween, I expected it to be a bigger thing in school tho, but seems like pl in Stern dun really dress up except a few. Haha tot it'll be like almost everyone on the streets n in sch would be in costumes..but well, guess the animals and scary creatures dun get out till the sun sets :)

Heehee the nite was cool tho, & the parade was sure packed! We had to squeeze but it was fun, like a combi of Sgp Ching-gay and Haunted house haha. but i feel Halloween 2005 is more of hot, modern, living ur dreams, den it was the spooky scary mysterious vampires and witches in the past. I was pretty dissappointed tt there wasnt any authentic, english vampires tho, I saw alot of gruesome or hot costumes tho haha, its juz different. But i took many pics tho, so i'm gona share it with my dear frenz visitin my blog :)

Woohoo! I cant believe I was a rat buster! Haha Xinyi & i actually caught the baby rat in our house together...i used a broom to force the rat out from one direction from behind the fridge, and Xinyi used the dustbin to cup the rat inside...wat a pair! My legs were actually shaking but i had to be brave since my fellow rat buster's so brave rite... phew lucky we caught it in the end...but i tink it got a brain concussion from tryin to escape. Sigh, we had to get another friend to invert the bin and dispose of the rat coz the 2 guys stayin with us cmi + bo chup! sigh...

Well, the weather wasn't on our side..the skyive trip was postponed coz of the bad weather forecast..so we went on to our contingency plan: Off to Atlantic City!
haha well, the buffet was definitelt awesome!!! I felt so greedy yet so full I could nearly roll ard haha. Well, but gettin lost while findin our way on foot to the outlet stores for 2 hrs certainly burnt all the calories after tt! Haha n it was a real eye opener seeing the aunties n uncles gamble at the casino, betin stacks of US$25 chips like they aint worth nothin!

Phew, finally no more lessons this weeks! Yes! Heehee and I'm so happy to have met my hall friends on msn and Skpye this morn!!! :) *SmIlEz* haha feels like the good old times again...they're still the same, esp the guys...still so jiaobins..and the gals,..still so chio! haha so cute they were all squeezing to get to be seen on the web cam , like lil hamsters ahahaha. Ah bang's still so black n only seen when he smile, Gan die still so thin, Gan ma still so cute, Jill still so nice always get bullied by the jiaobins, Fen still pretty, Drew still such a bully, and HS still mook gong gong haha.wat a gp.

Heh ok a few updates in NY. Haha finally met an American tt i feel can be a real friend:) Oh and my proj gpd mates here are friendly too, and so far, appear to be real nice peepz. here's a pic we took at the China Town Ice Cream factory, the ice cream was heavenly!!! I had black sesame and lychee, tried green tea too, all so yummy! they even have exotic flavors like wasabi, pumkin pie and taro, so cute :)

Never thought living together can be a challenge. Or rather, living away from your family can be tough. It comes to a point where u appeciate having plain water to drink every morning, having toilet rolls replaced, and even the luxury of not having to clean up after meals. I never thought that I was the kind of pampered kid, not even now. but i surely am learning to appreciate simple things in life...like having ice cream in the fridge, haing fresh milk...haha now these only happens when someone in the house bothers to buy them...unlike the good old days when my grandma would automatically replenish supplies weekly haha. This is surely a whole new learning experience for me.

Wonder how it's like in Singapore now...Rainy? Still humid? Heard about the dengue feven outspread...feel a little worried for my family. Hope they're all healthy and happy :)

A few more days to Mooncake Festival, the festival where ur whole family's supposed to gather to "shang3 yue4" and enjoy mooncakes together. This yr, I'll be spending it at NY with my frenz for a change:) But I'll certainly miss MAF at HC! Saw the pics Wei Liang forwarded me, the lanterns look so beautiful!!! Haha it still has the HC oriental flavor that I really like...and the pl I really miss... and the food too! Dunu if I'd get Hagen Daz ice cream mooncakes, green tea flavor and even my favourite yam flavour mooncakes here? ...

2 weeks in New York city... I've never been alway from home without my family that long. Now it's like I'm on my own, gota do wash my own clothes, fix my own dinner, even settle my own internet connection. Times like these makes me realise how I used to take everything at home for granted... really miss those neatly pressed clothes, now my clothes are ironed by myself yet they still look like they juz came out of the washing machine haha. And I remember the times I used to complain about how boring it is to have home cooked food, yet now I kinda miss it, esp Grandma's hainamnese chicken rice! Yummy! Heehee but I guess this is the transition period everyone has to go thru...at least I have my roomie that shares the same tots:)

Yeah! haha and I guess the apartment's better den I imagined, tho it's small it's quite pretty, real near sch, and it's got most of the stuff we need: decently equipped kitchen,furnished, laundry, common space...haha den we spent the day at China Town gettin all the necessities we needed...well tried to stay focused but it's all SUnny's fault...he got Xinyi and I distracted with all the sale shops and branded stuff haha... so we spend quite some time shopping esp "looking" ard at Armani Exchange coz it's on sale...but well, it's literally looking and tryin coz even the sale price isn't that cheap haha.Heehee...tink we were getting Glenn all bored...so we moved on really fast after that, besides getting lost quite abit, we bought most of the stuff we needed on the shopping list. Oh boy it's like we nearly bought the whole of China Town, it was scary! We got like a wok(specially for Sunny to steam fish and got laughed at by some auntie coz we got a cover tt's too small), toilet paper, all kinds of sauces, instant noodles, snacks,flask, dustbins... now I know how my grandma feels like getting all the groceries and necessities every week haha.

Hi all!!!

i know it's been sssooooo long since I blogged!!! Well, i was totally cut off from civilization I would say...calling here is so ex since i dun have a line yet and you even need to pay for internet wireless...I'm only typing this in the sch com lab now after my 6day US East coast tour. Heh it was fun! We visited Boston, Philidelphia, Washington DC and the US side of Niagara Falls. Will paste pics soon when I settel down in my apartment by 1sept and get a cable or something heh. Then I'll put my contacts on the blog. Oh... I so miss home and u guys!!! Sigh...I even got to think by the cents here...everything's like the same price but in US $...damn ex la...heehee maybe I'll slim down here since i wun snack as much..hope I dun..else i'll go broke hahahah...

Heehee, today I tasted the best Brownie that was ever savoured by my palete...haha it's not only rich and delicious, it's beautifully decorated with cherries, cream and rocklike chocolates...haha stop drooling! Hee and of coz, what makes it even sweeter-it's from a really dear friend...so e thought alone gives it full marks! haha so happy, first time someone's baked a cake for me haha, and it's the pro kind...thanks to hh:) Oh and dearie Bear...sorry bout the "White Forest", I can't help but feel embarassed comparing the 2..well blame it on hh haha!

Gosh I nearly spoilt e day by being 1hr late to meet fish, ron & turnip...luckily they were kuan1 rong2 da4 liang4. the day went smoothly... and despite only singing k box and having dinner...the normal stuff we always do...I enjoyed myself! and I tink all of us did! Hee dunu y we get so high juz by singing kBox oso...heehee muz be the pl *wink*..well, I've always admitted that I had great company since my SC days..well remember e days where we can juz sit together in e canteen to eat n talk n laugh...*sigh*those were the days..haha laughing at our own jokes:) LoVe ya gals...always feel good knowing u gals r ard.

Yeah!!! My First BIG Fish! haha

Haha I really enjoyed myself today...a big thank you to those who came, to hai han who coordinated most of the stuff, to Zhi ming our chauffeur for the day, to the gals who brought food, the guys with the drinks, and Bear Tan for the alcohol and glasses!

Heh oh I cant help but laugh at my kor for shuffling the cards the whole day...haha think he nearly got sea sick trying to do that on the yacht haha..no choice I guess, it's a matter of rank-Civilians Vs Officer...so of coz the civilians win rite! haha Oohhh and it's so cool to sip champagne on the small island haha..this is life man:)

Ok now 29th, here's our new goal, earn many many $$$, den we invest in our own yacht! haha and for our back up plan, like wat Janice said, each of us will fork out $1000, and Bear Tan will cover the rest...gd idea???

Sunny Sunny Day!!

Heh the initial drizzle did not dampen our spirits for e day's wakeboarding trip! Haha indeed the rain juz lasted for 20min..& out came the sun:) Hee it's really difficult to stand and wakeboard initially, coz of the resistance and balance(well I got abit of cooridination problem haha dunu how to turn or where to shift my weight haha). Not to mention that when you fall flat on ur face it's real tough to get up coz ur feet are locked to the board..so you feel ilke a giant turtle tryin frantically to flip urself over haha..but well you get really excited when you manage to stand up haha(guess soon i'll like like those cool pros u see on tv hahaha..soon soon..).

Unfortunately, I dunu why this real BIG school of fishes decided to disturb our peaceful expedition..by swimming all ard me when i'm trying so hard to concentrate on getting up on the board..wat's worse..they're jumping ard like super BIG & slimmy jelly beans! Eeeekksss!!! No more fishes for me..at least for a while!

Hmmm...I realised that the thing I miss most about Singapore is gona be the food...all that talk bout one nation, one dream...Maybe the most recognized icon in Singapore is the wide variety of food here haha: Chinese chicken rice, wanton mee, chicken ginseng soup, Malay nasi brani, Indian rojak, curry, roti prata, even Japanese, Indonesian, Korean food and lots more! Well, I admit I'm abit influenced by Da4 Chang2 Jing1..hee hee my latest craze for korean drama.. The show really Rox! It's like abit on food, medicine, romance, politics, and not to forget the rich korean culture..hee but I tink half e time i'm drooling coz of the food. Heh juz came back from 2 nites of stayin in hall..wat a relieve for my fellow hall mates there haha..Xinyi & I have been draggin you guys along to play bridge haha that's 2 sleepless nites! Haha but I sure did have alot of fun..despite being utterly drenched on wed thanx to my dear frenz :) Well..I'll certainly miss hall life..wonder how it'll be like at NYU. It's funny how I get a mixture of emotions:excited yet worried about all e new stuff there, sad that I'll be missing out on all the fun & happening stuff w frenz here yet happy to be able to get the chance to explore new grounds & meet pl from all walks of life there..but I guess this is part & parcel of life, so I might as well open my heart to what I'll experience in 2 weeks time! Heh but to my dear frenz, no matter where you are, you'll always be remembered!

Yoz! Heh it's been some time since I updated my blog...well I've been pretty lazy I admit...time really flies and there always seem to be something to be busy with... *Excuses*

Haha well, I had a really "romantic" nite haha...Ok I'll start with John Pizzarelli's Jazz concert. He was great man! Hee and I like his vocals & the antiphonal effects that he did with his pianist..think he's called Ray Kenndy..haha so cute..and they had so much "mo qi" his whole band of 4..wow.. I dunu when the time will come when Venus on Mars would reach that level haha ( Kel, Jan, Ju & hh jia you!!).

Next up is a visit to Timbre opened by Danny from Ublues..Heh Trevor's back to perform & he's still so thin! haha that's besides the point, he still sings beautifully..Hee i really like his voice..so good to see him again :) Haha I guess Julia & I were his 2 craziest students..hee & I was reminded that we once baked Brownie for him haha..the good old days..I really enjoyed his guitar & vocal lessons..Hee but how come I'm not half as zai as him?? Owell I admit I can't really tell the difference btween Blues & Jazz..somewhat similar wat...haha but nonetheless, I enjoyed all the music!

Heh and there's this song called "The Girl From Ipanema"..there was a comment about the ending phrase "She didn't see me".. well someone once told me that the person you like normally doesn't notice you..is that true? Maybe it's because many of us feel really self-conscious in front of pl we like..haha and btw, what's this thing called love? I think it's like a shooting star:you get to see it when you're really lucky..and you try to catch hold of the precious moment..but it is not possible, it's simply outa reach..then you realise that it's all about believing, if you believe in it, it's there...somewhat illogical..that's why another term for lovers is fools...haha kk the music is making me overwhelmed with emotions. Shall stop here..so cya:)

2)Get a rich bf/gf

3)Marry an old, sick, dying but nonetheless rich man/woman with no children/pets etc...

4)Do Not ANYHOW buy Toto..save up instead

5)Pray hard ur ancestors drop u a dream bout 4 numbers...ONLY den can u buy 4D & strike.

6)Seduce ur boss...u'll be surprised how much returns it fetches...promotion, house, allowance, gifts...u name it, u got it.
